Receive TDC

Every Tidecoin wallet can generate receiving addresses. In Tidecoin Core, addresses are derived from PQHD wallet state. In lighter wallets, the exact backup format depends on the wallet, but the operational rule is the same: only receive to a wallet you have backed up.

Receive flow

  1. Open the wallet you backed up.
  2. Open the receive screen.
  3. Create or copy a receiving address.
  4. Verify that the address begins with the expected Tidecoin prefix for the network you are using.
  5. Share the address or QR code with the sender.
  6. Wait for the transaction to appear, then wait for confirmations.

Address checks

NetworkCommon PQ witness prefixNotes
Mainnetq1...Use for normal TDC.
Testnettq1...Use only for test coins.
Regtestrq1...Local development only.

Do not mix networks. A testnet address is not a mainnet address.

Confirmations

A transaction is visible before it is final. For small personal transfers, one confirmation may be enough. For larger payments, wait for more confirmations according to your risk tolerance or the receiving service’s policy. Tidecoin targets 60-second blocks, but real confirmation time varies.

Privacy

Create a new receive address for each payer or invoice when your wallet makes that easy. Address reuse makes it easier for observers to link payments.
